2014/2015 Lagos State Bursary and Scholarship Awards

Dear parents, let me use this opportunity to salute your courage and ability to invest in the education of your child/ward. You refused to belong to the class of parents who denied them but rather engage them to do all sorts of works.

For those of us who are indigenes of Lagos State and who have children/wards in Higher Institutions of learning in different parts of Nigeria, here is an opportunity for you to apply for the State’s 2014/2015 Bursary Awards.

The application forms are now out till Friday, 10^th October, 2014.

A fee of N1, 000(One Thousand Naira) only is to be paid by each applicant while Law/Maritime Academy Students are to pay N2, 000(Two Thousand Naira) only.

It is important to note that all payments should be made at the Office of the Special Adviser to His Excellency on Education- Block 5 (Ministry of Education), 3^rd Floor, Room 314, The Secretariat, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos State.

After the payment, your receipt should be taken down to the Office of the Lagos State Scholarship Board at 254, Ipaja Road, beside NYSC Orientation Camp, Agege to obtain a scratch Card. Your duly completed form is expected to be brought and submitted with photocopies of all documents required by the Board at the interview Venue.

At this point, I am sure you want to have a list of the documents to be submitted or brought along, they are listed below:

• Evidence that you are truly an indigene: this could be a letter from an Oba or your Local Government Council

• Current letter of admission

• School Identity Card

• Birth Certificate

• Academic Certificates obtained

• JAMB Result Slip

• Lagos State Residents Registration Agency (LASRRA) Identification Card of the Applicant. If you have not registered before click here

• Parent’s or guardian’s Tax Clearance

• Any other document that can enhance approval of your application

It is important for you to be aware that original copies of documents will only be sighted while the photocopies shall be retained.

Also, forms will not be available for sale at interview venues.
