Towards the Children's Day Celebration

As part of the activities lined up for the celebration of the Annual Children's Day coming up on 27th, May 2013 for all the children in Lagos public schools, the Ministry of education has packaged different programmes to educate and sensitise the pupils.

Today, 20th May, 2013 a Youth conference and career talk for students in Lagos state was held at State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) Hall, Maryland, Lagos. Lectures delivered at the venue are highlighted below:

• Child abuse and security consciousness

• Career talk on insurance

• Career talk on pharmacy

• Effect of social media on youths

• Guidance on choice of career 

There was a brilliant cultural display by students of Awodi-Ora Junior School from Education District V.

We shall keep you posted as regards all that happened at the venue.

Other activities lined up include the following:

1. Muslim worship for Muslim students/pupils in Lagos State coming up on Friday, 24^th May, 2013 at the Secretariat Mosque Hall, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos.

The Theme of that event is “Building security consciousness among the Muslim youth in a larger society”. Also, Questions/answers, quiz competition, Islamic songs will be a part of the activities for the day.
