Lagos State Ministry of Education Summit

The lagos state Ministry of Education will hold its 3^rd Education Summit on 21^st- 22^nd May 2013 at Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos at 9.a.m. prompt.

The theme of this year’s summit is “Qualitative Education in Lagos State: Raising the Standard”. Discussions will focus, in particular, on Professional Development of Teachers, Curriculum Assessment and Improvement, School Infrastructure, Management and Quality Assurance.

Former Minister of Education, Dr. Obi Ezekwesili is the Lead Paper Speaker. The Chief Host is the Governor of Lagos State, His Excellency, Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN).

          

Going down memory lane, the last education summit was held in 2009 and the theme for that year was” Funding Qualitative Education in Lagos State”. It was a huge success in all ramifications. The lead Speaker then was , Mr. James Tooley, Prof. of Education policy, Newscastle University, UK amongst other notable speakers.
