VONO PRODUCTS PLC PLEDGES CONTINUOUS SUPPORT FOR EDUCATION IN LAGOS STATE

Vono Products Plc has expressed its desire to continue partnering with Lagos State in its drive to achieve quality education to children in Lagos State.

The Managing Director, Mrs. Titi Bakare, made this assertion recently during her visit to the Commissioner for education, Mrs. Olayinka Oladunjoye and her management team.

According to Mrs. Bakare who previously worked for 10 years in the Lagos State Teaching Service Commission, Vono Products Plc appreciates the developmental changes being recorded by Lagos State especially in the education sector. She observed that students from Lagos State have been winning laurels both Nationally and Internationally.

Mrs. Bakare also commended the various co-curricular programmes the state has put in place such as Lagos State Schools debate, BRF Quiz, Spelling Bee competition to mention a few.

In her response, the Commissioner for Education, Mrs. Olayinka Oladunjoye thanked Vono Products for partnering with education in Lagos State and urged them to sustain the intervention. According to her, whatever success the Ministry has been able to achieve is partly due to the cooperation and support of everyone in the education family.

She used the opportunity to appeal for more assistance especially in the area of capacity building for teachers because they are the ones saddled with the responsibility of imparting knowledge, therefore they need training and retraining.

Mrs. Oladunjoye promised to look at the proposal put forward by Vono Products Plc and find ways by which they can cooperate in order to move education forward in the state.
