ASUU Strike

The Committee set up by the Federal Government to meet with the leadership of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has failed to reach a compromise with the union.

There were expectations earlier that ASUU would call off the strike as it was believed that Government would be favourable as regards the implementation of the 2009 agreement.

According to the National President of the union Dr. Nasir Fagge, “the chairman of the committee, Governor Gabriel Suswan only told us how he wants to carry out the assignment”
