School Threat Assessment Training: Effective Way to Combat Students' Threatening Behavior.

Dewey Cornel says threat assessment gives schools a safe, effective way to address students' threatening behavior.  

This week, he led a workshop  as part of a school and campus safety training conference in Hampton. Four other worshops are planned this month in Dublin, Weyer's Cave, Fredericksburg and Petersburg. 

The assessment teams are part of legislation signed earlier this year aimed at improving school and campus safety following the Connecticut school shootings in December.
