A Professor of petroleum Engineering and Head, Geology
Department, University of Jos, Adeniyi Adegoriola was assaulted by a carpenter
in Ikotun, Lagos, South West Nigeria.
The professor was alleged to have beaten Babalola’s daughter
apparently to correct her but the angered Babalola who said the Professor had
been intimidating him and his family confronted him and broke his medicated
glasses, he was also said to have inflicted injury on him.
The presiding Magistrate, Mr. P. E. Nwaka granted
him bail in the sum of #20,000
with two sureties who must show evidence of tax to the Lagos State Government.
The case was adjourned to 4th, September, 2013
